The Challenge

  • Like many entrepreneurs, TheOne.Diamonds’s founder was not technical and had not yet hired a CTO

  • Faced with a competitive market, it was a priority that development be quick and efficient. The product needed to be feature rich and represent a clear competitive edge

  • The API of the diamond wholesaler was unreliable and regularly unavailable. This made it significantly harder for TheOne.Diamonds to provide accurate pricing to their customers

How Theodo solved the problem

  • A Theodo architect developer, together with the client, developed a sophisticated and scalable technical solution

  • Good design was central to the project. We integrated UX and UI designers into the Scrum team to ensure we built an elegant and streamlined user experience

  • We collaborated closely with the Product Owner, giving him daily updates on progress made

  • The team solved the API problem by building a custom AngularJS application that cached an up-to-date version of the wholesaler’s data. This could then be displayed in the event the API was not available

  • The platform was built in only five weeks to extremely high design and technical standards
