Homebrella’s goal is to make renters’ lives easier...

Homebrella is an Insurtech platform that allows tenants to purchase renters insurance in just a few clicks.

In the first phase collaboration took place to build the platform from scratch. Creating the customer journey to receive a quote for a policy in React, and building out an admin panel in Django for the call operations team to manage over 12,000 payments per year.

Homebrella needed to consolidate their scaling strategy to meet increased demand for quotes and policies.

This included a focus on returning customers who seeked to renew their policy. This posed several challenges; we needed to make sure we built a technically stable platform for their customers and ops team; whilst simultaneously upskilling a team of Homebrella developers.

Theodo fostered a positive customer experience by launching the MVP in a very short timeframe. The team put the project before their own financial gain and excelled at managing expectations. Their ability to act as a full-service partner and provide substantial value spurs continued engagement.

Automation of administrative and operational processes through Django.

We created a solution in Django that automated the renewal process. Starting from the first email reminder all the way to creating an entire renewal pricing engine. This saved each Homebrella ops team member an average of 2 days per month on renewal activities, allowing them to focus their time on outbound calls and customer service.

Scale and growth.

The platform continues to attract tens of thousands of quotes each week and by the end of the project Homebrella have successfully renewed their first round of annual policies, increasing revenues and customer retention.

Throughout the project we worked closely with the Homebrella development team, upskilling them in Django and React and giving them the tools they needed to maintain the platform, build new features and expand their product.
